09/09/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: Picture perfect plump playful puppy Angelus! Adorably affectionate, stunning in his gray coat with matching gray eyes, Angelus is all about making friends with both two legged and four legged creatures. Happily wagging his tail at everyone we pass as we walk to the park, in play group he’s “gentle and dainty”, solicits play from both males and females, and plays with all. He showed off his housetraining skills the moment we were out the door, but as a puppy may need some positive reinforcement in his new home. I tried to put a scarf on him for pictures but he wasn’t having any part of it, letting me know he’s handsome enough without accessories and I couldn’t agree more! His leash manners are good, he’s curious about everything in an appropriately puppy way, and is well mannered beyond his age. No puppy crazies here, just a delightful, fun, playful and affectionate young boy, ready to begin his happily ever after.

Angelus pulls a bit on the leash. He was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body. He was calm and relaxed during handling. Angelus was distracted, focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag test. He was a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language.
