12/16/2015 WEB MEMO
A staff member writes, Aneo is a big grey teddy bear. For real. He is such a sweet tempered, calm and patient dog. When he takes a treat from you he does so with the utmost delicacy and he walks like a gentlemen on the leash. One downside to this big grey giant is that he really, really does not like to be returned to his kennel after a walk or in playgroup. But who can blame him. Please, come meet Aneo and maybe you’ll fall in love and take him home, so he never has to go back to his kennel again!
12/10/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Aneo previously lived with 2 adults. The owner stated Aneo is playful and relaxed towards everyone he meets. The owner describes Aneo as playful, pushy, and friendly. The owner mentioned Aneo has a high activity level. It was reported by the owner Aneo is not house broken, he destroys garbage bags indoors and when he is home alone he tends to whine. At intake it was reported Aneo was nervous and anxious with his tail tucked, he allowed all handling with a slow approach. During SAFER Aneo came into the assessment room shy and fearful, he was social towards the assessor, allowed all handling items to be conducted without issue. Aneo was relaxed during the tag interaction, and during the resources portion of the assessment Aneo was easy to handle when engaged with the items. Aneo is reported to show destructive behavior in the home, such as garbage bags. We are unaware of what, if any, attempts were made to remedy this behavior but we suggest to future adopters that Aneo will need to be provided with physical and mental stimulation and with a variety of appropriate and engaging chew toys so Aneo can engage in necessary chewing behavior without damage to human objects. The behavior department feels he can be suitable for an experience adopter. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1.
