A volunteer writes: Like All Star’s everywhere, our All Star isn’t going to let an injury sideline him! No siree! He’s ready to come out to play, and go for a walk wagging his tail happily as we go. He favors his back leg, holding it up as we walk, so will need proper diagnostics to determine the problem. Meanwhile, he’s thrilled to be out for the chance to go potty, play with a stuffed toy, greet other dogs, and snuggle in a convenient lap. Gorgeously groomed and taken care of, his weight is perfect for his size, his coat gleams in the sunlight (get your sunglasses ready), and his face lights up with friendship. He seems to love other dogs, wagging his tail and clearly wanting to play but because of the unknown circumstance of his leg he’s not going into group play at this time. He sits for treats, takes them gently and is seriously a total sweetheart. At 6 months old, he’s well behaved and gentle with a fun energy, and aced his behavior exam with the perfect and not easy to come by rating of beginner!! He needs a home with lots of love, perhaps a canine sibling, and of course, needs a vet exam to determine the cause of his limp and then appropriate treatment. He’s a rockstar pup who isn’t going to let anything get him down and we shouldn’t either…..how big is your heart?
A staff member writes: All star is a true star at MACC! He passed his SAFER with flying colors by receiving a BEGINNER SAFER!!! All star was also recently diagnosed with lameness because he will not bear weight on his left hind leg.
