08/22/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Randy came into the care center as a stray. He has avoided handling and all other forms of human interaction since intake. He needed to be sedated at intake, and is still not allowing himself to be leashed. When approached in the kennel, Randy growls. He dodges the leash and escalates to snapping at it. Due to these highly fearful and stressed reactions, in combination with the other behaviors noted since intake, Randy is not an appropriate candidate for a SAFER at this time. We recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can provide a stable, comfortable environment for Randy as well as any positive socialization experiences and behavior modification he may need.
