A volunteer writes:

Scooby/Tauros is not unknown to us..I met him few months ago, briefly, as his master came to pick him up pretty quickly after his arrival at the care center. He is back now as the same master does not have time for him anymore, so little time that he or she barely left any information about Scooby/Tauros… Scooby/Tauros who is a Shepherdy Pitie is a good looking mature gentleman with a handsome greying face and fiery eyes.  He has been well cared for, is trim, well dressed and owns healthy teeth. He was very uncomfortable upon arrival at the care center, wary.He has settled down quite nicely as I could observe yesterday. Scooby/Tauros walks beautifully on the leash, eliminates without marking, stops when i stop , sits on command, comes when called and takes treats very gently from my hand. He is aware of other dogs, investigate their presence  while free in a pen but does not pull toward them in the street. In the one playgroup he participated in, Scooby/Tauros was a bit uneasy.  He might need  yet to feel  more comfortable to be a suitable and lively playmate. Scooby/Tauros likes to be petted and looks at me with very gentle eyes. He settles gently by my side, like would do a  loyal friend. Few of us, volunteers, experienced Scooby and enjoyed his company, his calm and his good manners.I hope that soon enough, he will find his way to a new owner or family who will have time and love for him…Scooby is at the Manhattan Care Center.
