08/31/2015 WEB MEMO
A volunteer writes: From a staff member, “Oh, is that Tigra? She’s just a giant lap dog!” And though when I met her she wasn’t feeling too well, lap dog she certainly is! Tigra is stunning, her coat is meticulous, her weight is perfect and her face, with her soft eyes and glances, is just so kissable. So while she was on my lap, I definitely snuck in some smooches. Tigra seems relatively mild mannered, easy to walk on the leash and like she might have some housetraining. She was all tail wags through the fence with another female dog, but after a bit, when the dog began eyeing the ball (that she didn’t seem too interested in playing with) she gave her a bark as if to say, back off my toy! After a bit of time in the yard, Tigra laid down, propping her head on her paws in the most adorable poses. She seemed to feel relieved to be outside, spending time with a friend. Tigra is ready to relax in a yard of her very own. Come to the Brooklyn Care Center and ask to meet her today!

08/25/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE

When off leash with other dogs, Tigra greets the other dog politely, attempts to solicit play and will engage in rough play with another playful dog. She may become pushy while playing but takes correction well. 8/27 update: Tigra is social, attempts to solicit play and engages in rough play with other playful dogs. 8/28 update: Tigra greets well at the gate but will get aroused when the dog in an adjacent pen becomes stiff and hard barks. She will relax and become loose but when introduced she quickly becomes stiff and escalates even when the other dog greets her with a wagging tail and loose body.
