07/20/15 09:18 Basic Information: Tigger is a one year old male dog who is very friendly and excited. Social Life and Personality: Tigger has been around children ages 10,12,14 and 17 and is realxed and playful around them. When Tigger plays with them he is very exuberant and gentle. Tigger has never been around any other dogs or cats so it is unknown how he reacts to them. Tigger is very house trained and rarely has any accidents. Tigger’s previous caretaker describes him as playful, excitable, affectionate and friendly with a medium activity level. Behavior: Tigger has never bitten another person or animal. Tigger is friendly when someone touches hs food, treat or toy when he is using them and does not mind when being given a bath, pushed off the furniture or restrained. Tigger is friendly when an unfamiliar person approaches his family or home. Tigger’s previous care taker has never trimmed his nails so it is unknown how he reacts to this event. For a New family to Know: Tigger knows the commands sit, come, stay, up, and gimme 5 (give paw), Tigger likes to go on loose walks on a leash for exercise 4 times a day. Tigger likes to play with balls, squaeky toys and stuffed toys. Tigger has never been crate trained and will go to the bathroom on any outside surface. When left home alone Tigger will chew on different items around the house. Tigger is not affected by thubderstorms or fireworks. Tigger likes to eat dry dog food twice a day. Intake Behavior: Tigger was very friendly and allowed all handling by staff. Tigger allowed staff to collar, scan and take pictures of him with no signs of aggression.

Tigger pulls a bit on the leash. He was sociable toward the handler during the assessment – soft body. He was calm and relaxed during handling. Tigger was calm and relaxed during handling. Tigger showed some concerning behavior during the food bowl test – stiffening and growling, but did not snap at or bite the assess-a-hand. He took the toy away, body language was stiff and was not interested in rawhide. Tiggershows some guarding issues during the food bowl test. He may require positive reinforcement behavior modification to address this food guarding behavior. The behavior department feels that he can go to an experienced no child home. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 1. Dog stands still and accepts the touch, his eyes are averted, and his tail is in neutral position with relaxed body posture. Dog’s mouth is likely closed for at least a portion of the assessment item. Tag: 2. Dog is not fearful, but is unresponsive to the Assessor, and approaches the Assessor at the end of the game (may need coaxing to approach.) He is focused on stimuli other than the Assessor. Squeeze 1: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Squeeze 2: 1. Dog gently pulls back his paw. Food: 4. Dog growls. Toy: 3. Dog takes toy away, keeps a firm hold. His body is stiff. Rawhide 1. No interest. When off leash with other dogs, Tigger greets politely, is a bit sexually motivated and attempts to solicit play.
