A shelter staff member writes:
Sugar is a female 5 year old Maltese dog that arrived as an owner surrender with limited information. Sugar had only been with the owner a short time. Owner was able to report that Lulu eats strictly wet food and is house broken. Recently Lulu gets walked several times a day on leash. When encountering other dogs Lulu is reported to be vocal but owner states she will engage for play. Owner cannot report on exposure to cats.
Upon intake Lulu was receptive to introduction. Lulu was quiet and loose for all handling and counselor was able to scan for microchip (negative) collar and photograph. Lulu walked well on leash but could be somewhat insistent. Lulu allowed herself to picked up and held.
