12/19/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Sonny came in as a stray, so his past behaviors in a home are unknown. At intake it was reported Sonny was calm and quiet, allowed all handling. During SAFER Sonny came into the assessment room calm and quiet, he was a bit social towards the assessor, not all handling items were able to be conducted as Sonny tries to bite at the assessor on the sensitivity item. He displayed no interest in any of the resource items during this portion of the assessment. In light of this behavior we feel that placement with a rescue who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification is the best option at this time. Look: 2. Dog pulls out of Assessor’s hands each time without settling during three repetitions. Sensitivity: 5. Dog tries to bite. Toy 1: No interest. Dog-dog: When off leash with other dogs, Sonny is tolerant of interaction but spends his time exploring his surroundings.
12/14/2015 GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
Exam Type GROUP BEHAVIOR
When off leash with other dogs, Sonny greets them appropriately and tolerates pushy behavior from another dog. 12/15-12/19 update: Sonny is tolerant of interaction but spends his time exploring his surroundings.
