Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Helper dog: A0888442 Lulu previously lived with 2 adults and a 9 month old and 10 year old. The owner stated Lulu is playful and relaxed towards everyone in the household. The owner mentioned Lulu is reactive towards someone if they pet her overly too much she will snap. It was reported by the owner Lulu is house trained, crate trained, has a medium activity level and well behaved when home alone. The owner describes Lulu as playful, excitable, affectionate, anxious, aloof and independent. It was also reported by the owner if the 10 year old tried to take anything from her she may growl. At intake it was reported Lulu had loose body posture, ate treats and listen to commands, she allowed all handling. During SAFER Lulu came into the assessment room skittish and curious of her surroundings, she was not interested with the assessor, not all handling items were able to be conducted as Lulu freezes and growls at the assessor when attempting to collar her. She displayed no interest in any of the resource items during this portion of the assessment. When on leash for a dog interaction with another dog on leash Lulu lip curled. In light of this behavior we feel that placement with a rescue who can provide positive reinforcement-based behavior modification is the best option at this time. Toy: 1. No interest. Dog-dog: 4. Dog approaches the helper dog and lip curls.
