A volunteer writes: What’s not to love about Lady Macbeth? She is all girl….She is as pretty as a china doll…She has one blue eye which mesmerizes me…She is petite(only 39 pounds)..She is gentle, calm and well mannered like a lady… The cherry on top..she is so sweet, loving and a wonderful lap dog. I had a very hard time to put Lady Macbeth back in her kennel. I just wanted to stow her away in a big brown bag and take her home as my own…. Lady Macbeth was surrendered into our care as her family did not have time for a pet anymore. She lived harmoniously with children of all ages and was very well behaved, playful, affectionate and low key. A family dog like we all want to have in our life, simple and easy, blending with us. She cruises, glides in the street, meets politely other dogs although she can be very lively in playgroups. She seems housetrained as related to us by her former owners, knows the commands sit, stay and lay down. She comes immediately when called and takes treats very politely from my hand. Free in a pen after our stroll around the block, Lady Macbeth jumped on the bench and looked at me insistingly…Come, lets snuggle… Really, really, really, Lady Macbeth is a lovely gal. She will make a new owner or family happy to have chosen her as a forever best friend. I know she will. Come and meet Lady Macbeth at the Manhattan Care Center and take her home.
