I am a male tan chihuahua sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 11 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 10/24/2015 from NY 11226, owner surrender reason stated was ALLERGIES. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-037158.

10/24/15 17:22 Kilter is a male tan chihuahua, who was surrendered by his owner due to his owners health issues. He is described as fearful and independent. Personality: Kilter has been around younger and older children and is relaxed and playful, he plays exuberantly. Around other dogs he is relaxed and usually tolerant, around cats he is respectful but doesnt interact much according to his owner. Kilter is partially housetrained and has accidents almost daily indoors. He has been kept indoors and has a medium activity level. Behavior: Kilter often urinates indoors about 2-3 times a day. He isnt bothered when his food is touched or hen a treat is taken away. When pushed off furniture he will bark but will comply. He enjoys baths and being groomed. He isnt bothered when held and according to his owner likes to be held like a baby. For a family to know: Kilter is used to leashed walks 2-3 times a day, he uses the bathroom on grass cement or gravel. When home he tends to be in the same room as his owner and when left alone is well behaved. When off leash stays close to his owners side. During storms or fireworks he is nervous and will shiver and hide. He eats dry food, Beneful brand and usually sleeps in his owners bed or on the floor. Upon intake Kilter was tense and had a firm body; he allowed all handling, scanning collaring and photo to be taken.
