A volunteer writes:Did someone say play time??!!! From his curiously tilted head to his cute oversized toes, baby Garret is 100 percent pure puppylicious perfection! He loves loves LOVES to play, whether it’s with his people, his toys or his fellow dogs and literally everyone he meets is greeted like a long-lost friend. Surrendered to the Care Center as his former owner had financial difficulties and lacked the time to care for an energetic puppy, Garret is taking his abandonment in adorably clumsy stride and he’s been nothing but excited and happy since the moment he arrived. He’s very affectionate and loves to snuggle, roughhouse and play fetch and we’re told he was relaxed and playful with his cousins (two toddlers and a toy poodle) whenever they came to visit. Aside from being house broken, Garret was never given any training (as all puppies should be) but except for some joyful jumping and light mouthing, he seems to be a natural at the skills that make a good dog great. He comes when called, walks well on leash and takes care of his business outside, sits for treats and takes them softly and meets other dogs with extremely friendly but never bossy manners. Garret is said to be well-behaved when left home alone and apparently he even likes taking a bath — soapy puppy fun for everyone! If you’re a dog-savvy adopter who’s been wishing there was more wiggly waggly wonder in your life then now’s your chance to make those wishes come true…and Garret’s too!
