A volunteer writes: There’s a Beagle in the house! Adorable, pleasantly plump Miss Novi, is friendly, snuggly and there’s no place she’d rather be than a lap. Although she has an injured leg, she steps out of her kennel easily, glad for the opportunity of a walk. She walks well on leash but because of her injury I don’t take her far. We opt, instead, to sit on the sidewalk, snuggle, and when I sit on the ground she worms her way into my lap. Too cute! She kisses, she wags her tail, her eyes are bright and loving, she poses for photos like a pro and takes treats gently. She needs to go to doggie weight watchers as she’s overweight, but with proper food, and once her leg is healed, some exercise she’ll be back in shape in no time. She’s young, affectionate and happy to make new friends. Can she count you as one of them?
A Staff member writes : Meet Novi the loveable Beagle. Poor little Novi might have a possible Cranial cruciate Ligament Rupture of her back right leg. She will need follow up vet care to get her leg repaired. She also needs a home where they can put her on a healthy diet where she can lose some pounds.
